Romesh Franklin,

Romesh Franklin, known as Frankie, founded Tabaruma in June 2021. With over 15 years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry, Frankie is a seasoned hospitality expert. Holding a Diploma in Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management, he has served as the Managing Director of a leading inbound travel company in Malaysia. He is also the co-owner of Ceylon Kitchen and Asian Taj, where he brings his passion for culture and flavors into the culinary world. Frankie’s vision for Tabaruma is to craft experiences that go beyond mere destinations, turning every journey into a meaningful and memorable one.

With over five years of culinary experience, Chef Kavindu is a passionate and skilled
professional specializing in Sri Lankan, Asian fusion, and Western cuisines. Holding a National Certificate in Cook NVQ Level 04, he has honed his craft in renowned kitchens, mastering both traditional cooking methods and modern techniques.

Chef Kavindu’s journey began in Sri Lanka, where he trained in fine dining establishments,
refining his expertise in authentic Sri Lankan flavors and spices. He later expanded his skills in Malaysia, where he gained experience in diverse cuisines and fast-paced kitchens.

At Tabaruma Cafe, Chef Kavindu brings creativity and dedication to every dish, ensuring that each meal is a perfect blend of tradition, quality, and innovation. Whether it’s an aromatic Sri Lankan curry, a bold Asian fusion dish, or a comforting Western meal, his expertise guarantees an unforgettable dining experience.
